A group of oddball criminals, organized through the dwindling funds of Fidan hunt her brother’s scam-loomer Kenton across the Quiet Sea.

Chasing rumors takes them from the quiet shores of Rin’s Hideout to Dradintown, where the find their target has ingratiated himself among the Dradin family. They work out that he’s biding his time hoping to catch a windfall “healing” the elder Dradin (Nolan). The party halfheartedly “help” by acquiring tortoises, then follow his flight from the town northward. They track him to Nova Arvum, but are too late to immediately catch him. They set off on foot northward to the Silent Sisterhood, having to cross an offshoot of The Glass. Upon arrival they disregard the ominous warnings of the cult, kill Kenton and make a loud mess of things. This awakens The Exile which proceeds to eat everything in its surroundings. Slim is “saved” by providing his boon (a pearl) and instead being transformed into a Hunter.
