Tzar Feodor II Dimovich
Feodor II was—until his death last year—the 7th Tzar to hold the throne. His namesake, Feodor I, founded the Tzardom after binding the power of the skyfire and unifying the families of the realm under his banner. His predecessor and father Dmitri was much beloved as a ruler but died young (for a tzar: 40), leaving a regent to rule for 2 years until Feodor II came of age. He took the throne to much fanfare and excitement: the return of a real tzar, a return to the glory of Feodor the Binder!
The early years of his rule were mixed. He continued a number of his father’s popular social programs, as well as strengthening the Ministry of the Border. However, he also pushed the heavy industries workers hard to deliver the next great walking city in time for the birth of his first son when the Tzar was 22 (remarkably early for his line, who mostly sired heirs closer to 30), more than a year before its original slated deadline.
These grand personal celebrations continued, with Tzar Feodor II ordering the construction of new ships in his name, major unnecessary renovations of government buildings to include statues of his and his father, etc. In honor of his second child’s birth (a daughter) he ordered the armored mechatronics division to custom design an armored pram-walker for the princess.
The nadir of his popularity came in 144 H.A. when—attempting to compete with The Crown’s repeat campaigns—Feodor II sent a large expeditionary force into the Dark Continent. The stated goal was to establish a colony, but it was clear to all involved it was a vanity project. The effort failed, many died, ships were lost.
Heirs
First born heir, Prince Nikolai Feodorovich. Born when Feodor was 22.
Second born heir, Princess Irina II Feodorovna. Born when Feodor was 25.
Lineage
The Tzardom is a mixed patronymic/matronymic ancestral dynasty. Its rule of succession is simple: the eldest surviving heir takes the throne when their parent passes. In practice, this has often been the firstborn. The scheme of rule notably lacks a partner: tzars and tzarinas alike customarily keep company with numerous courtesans and/or maintain a harem.
