GLASS-0189.R1.OBJECTIVE
- Obtain vantage on OS southern walls and determine accuracy of historical maps (see GLASS-0181).
- Determine accuracy of historical artillery logs between 16:00 and 18:00 (see GLASS-0181).
GLASS-0189.R1.LOG
- Infiltrated OS from SITE7 at 15:30.
- Exited ACCESS3 (grid F9; see GLASS-0185) at 16:13.
- Held position at grid F8 at 16:14 for nominal artillery strike at Grid F7 at 16:16 (see GLASS-0181).
- Artillery struck grid F8 at 16:15:43. ACCESS3 rendered impassable. 1 KIA (Pvt. Adil Veheat; unrecovered). Decision: mission compromised; return to SITE7.
- Moved to ACCESS2 (grid G6).
- Observed artillery strike at grid G6 on row house at 18:03; responders remarked “How did they know to hit this building?”.
- Observed Tuetarch Army spotters at grid G6 on row house roof using arcanometer at 18:04; apparently detecting SITE7 forge plate connection.
- Passed through ACCESS2 and returned to SITE7 without further incident.
GLASS-0189.R1.RECOMMENDATIONS
- Grid F8 SHOULD be investigated prior to artillery strike at 18:03.
- Use of forge plate connection from SITE7 to OS SHOULD be minimized. Arcanists SHOULD draw from sources inside OS.
- Historical artillery records (GLASS-0181) MUST NOT be relied on for infiltration team safety. Infiltration teams SHOULD be staffed with arcanists with artillery and/or structural engineering expertise to ensure safe navigation of OS.
