Or in its full glory: The Holy Empire of the Angels. The empire is an aristocratic theocracy, lead primarily by the High Abbey: the clerical arm of The Church of Angelic Worship. Its seat of power is the city of Albioch, on the island of Prydani in the north sea.
Geographic extents
The islands of Prydani, Yornia, and Vannin1 make up the homelands of the Holy Empire. Beyond the neighboring waters, the empire’s bounds expand far into the continental mainland until contested by The Crown, often at mountain boundaries such as The Pyrenees
and The Alps
. They control a narrow band of land access to the White Sea2 through France
and hold the northern side of the Straight of Gibraltar
.
Furthermore, the empire maintains innumerable small-to-medium sizes colonies all across the world. Their access to the northern side of the Burned Continent is uncontested, and they hold many ports with access to the Antremhas.
